Hi, my name is Peter Kincade and I am the managing director of Quantumtek. Our website is currently being redeveloped to reflect the latest development techniques that support ease of use and search engine optimisation.

All of the functions and techniques we develop and use in our website are made available to our customers at no charge for reuse in their own websites when they choose our DIY website solutions service.

Quantumtek commenced operations in 1998 as a software engineering consultancy. The Internet and the world wide web were already business opportunities back then but non-technical services for DIY exploitation of these mediums were not available. Website developers had to be technicians, not business people.

The Quantumtek team was at this time primarily a developer of secure transaction services and systems for Government and the corporate sector. Back then our emphasis was on proprietary, secure transmission and encryption protocols for real time transaction processing. In other words, we were a bunch of boffins and technicians rather than business solution providers.

During 2001 our focus changed for the simple reason that business in Australia was rapidly adopting the website medium as a means of not only promoting business but of doing business.

The truth is, it took us a while to really "wake up" to the fact that businesses needed and wanted to use the Internet and the world wide web for promoting their business and for doing business via the Internet.
